I/O Newbie
« on: January 24, 2009, 03:25:13 PM »
HI,

I'm new to the I/O Psychology world, and want to know where I can find more detailed information about the field. My academic adviser got me interested in this filed, because I had described the type of goals and career I wanted to pursue in life. So far the information I've found on the field has been to my liking. I really think this is the career path for me. Are there internship opportunities out there? How do I find a local I/O Psychologists to interview? Are there opportunities for international travel?

Thanks For Your Help

Hi,
I would suggest visiting the website www.siop.org This is actually an international and professional website for I/O Psychologists. You can get a field of what the research topics are in this field and internship opportunities etc. They also have a list of the best I/O Psychology programs in the US. PM or post back with any new questions.
