Who doesn't love television? Everyone loves a great television show, and a staple in many great television shows is a one true pair – or as the kids call it, an OTP. There have been many great couples throughout the history of television, but there are five couples that we feel are the best TV couples of all time. Check out the Top 5 TV couples that everyone loves right here:
1. Ross and Rachel (Friends)
Ross and Rachel are hands-down the most iconic of all TV couples. Who doesn't know the infamous, “We were on a break!” line? While Ross and Rachel definitely had their ups and downs, it only made them more realistic. They showed that no relationship is perfect. They showed that even when a relationship has its flaws, if the two people are really “soul mates,” then it will always work out in the end. For this, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ross and Rachel, the couple who made us believe in “lobsters.”
2. Jack and Rebecca (This Is Us)
Jack and Rebecca Pearson are ultimate couple goals. We admit – there are definitely some aspects of their relationship that seem a little “unattainable.” I mean, Jack Pearson is quite literally the perfect man (he literally died after saving a dog from a burning house). Rebecca is insanely gorgeous and a talented singer (as we all wish we were). While these two are each completely amazing, it's their love for one another that really steals the show. Jack knew he loved Rebecca the second he saw her, and he truly spent the rest of his life doing anything he could to make her happy.
3. Jon Snow and Ygritte (Game of Thrones)
“You know nothing, Jon Snow…” Okay, so this might not be the healthiest relationship on television. She shoots him with several arrows. She eventually dies after being shot by the little boy he had taken under his wing. It's all a very tragic, medieval love story and we are totally here for it. We know that Jon Snow ends up with Daenerys (sorry for the spoiler!), but we're still wishing him and Ygritte could have gone back to that cave.
4. Edith and Archie Bunker (All In the Family)
To say Archie Bunker was hard to handle would be an understatement. The cantankerous old man was totally delusional and had no problem speaking his mind at any and all times. While he seemed rough around the edges, he had a total soft spot for his wife, Edith. Edith was the only one who could really crack Archie's hard exterior, as was shown when Edith passed away towards the end of the series. Archie didn't know what to do with himself!
5. Luke and Lorelai (Gilmore Girls)
We all impatiently waited for five whole seasons to see Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore finally get together…only to break up…only to get back together…only to break up again…and then ultimately get back together. After years of flirting and sexual tension, the cranky diner owner and the quirky single-mother finally realized that they were totally meant for one another and fans were able to breathe a collective sigh of relief!
